Data Warehouse SME


We are currently looking for a Data Warehouse Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will work closely with the PM and project team, to facilitating requirements gathering sessions with business and technical users, reviewing source system layouts and schemas, analyzing the requirements, and creating a comprehensive strategy and roadmap to meet our client's business needs, including project plans, release plans, staffing plans, status updates, change control processes and customer presentations on project and budget status.


Duties and Responsibilities

Our focus is to develop and deliver innovative customer-centric technologies and solutions that facilitate to roles and responsibilities for our clients. We are seeking Data Warehouse SME who will be working closely with data architects and data analysts to implement data modeling solutions in order to streamline and support enterprise information management.

  • Lead activities around requirements gathering, data analysis, profiling, extraction, validation, data modeling transformation, and integration with data from multiple disparate sources.

  • Provide means for ensuring data quality and integrity are intact.

  • Work closely with clients and end-users to examine existing processes and develop automated solutions, including specifying program and project plans.

  • Act as technical lead to assess the client's current state environment and offer estimates and recommendations for a full data warehouse implementation, including detailed project plans, staffing plans, and release plans.

  • Provide Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence subject matter expertise and leadership.

  • Transform Business requirements into functional Data Warehouse design requirements, including the data warehouse data model (logical and physical)

  • Ensure common application architectural framework across different subject areas and conformance with best practices

  • Work with business and technical SME's DBAs and BI Analysts to implement data quality and data governance processes

  • Evaluate, recommend and implement Business Intelligence Tools to meet technical and business requirements


Work Experience:

  • 5+ years experience with evaluating, recommending, and implementing Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Architectures and Tools to meet technical and business requirements

  • Prior agile implementation experience is desired

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience developing data warehouse data models

  • knowledge of database structure systems and data mining.

  • Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.

  • Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with team management.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.



  • Applicant must have Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
